Thursday, March 17, on the occasion of the 150th anniversary of the Unification of Italy, ART proposes misia Cultural Services, in collaboration with the Naval Museum, "Travels with figureheads, a visit with educational workshop to deepen and disseminate the history of the Risorgimento.
Within the Naval Museum imposing and mysterious figures testify undertakings made in the past, and their eyes n travel stories, sea, great challenges and brave men: the magical and mythological figures, inspiration and art at the same time. These interesting wooden sculptures, which often do not know the author, called figureheads, and are located over the area forward of vessels as a decorative feature.
Traveling with figureheads provides an account of the history of the Risorgimento from artifacts and documents preserved at the Museum and then in the laboratory, students will create medals e polene legate al tema dell’Unità d’Italia utilizzando le tecniche del rame a sbalzo e dell’acquerello.
Il laboratorio è rivolto alla libera utenza ed è consigliato per i bambini dai 7 ai 13 anni.
